How do we improve employees’ well-being and overall health?
Hello Health (Colruyt Group) wanted to create a series of tracks for employees of large corporates, to improve their well-being and overall health. We sat down together with the development team to create one together. They would do the back end, how data would be processed, and we would do the front end, which is all communication to the users.
To test the feasibility of the product, we needed to build an MVP first. This MVP contained a kickoff, assessment, the digital coaching journey, and an offboarding. The other challenge was data collection and tracking, how were we going to do that? Here’s how we went from a blank page to a go-to-market product case, MVP style.
Our Approach
We started off with several sessions, first to transfer the clients’ expertise and knowledge to our team, and next to sit down and create touch points throughout the entire process, resulting in the ideal user journey. We used tools like Miro and Figma to visually create and map out these touchpoints, with several iterations before finalization. These touchpoints were:
- Kickoff (Emails after registration and completion)
- Assessment aka Lifestyle Check (Reminder emails and push notifications)
- Digital Coach program (with weekly tips, reminder emails and push notifications)
- Offboarding (Last Lifestyle check, data reports, emails, push notifications)
After finalizing these, Hello Health Tour was born. We then identified the tool we were going to use for the product, which was Customer.io.
Customer.io is an automated messaging platform for marketers who want to craft and send data-driven emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS. It’s the perfect tool for a digital coach app with tips like Hello Health Tour. Together with Hello Health’s development team, we set up the entire Customer.io tool from scratch. This meant setting up domains, connecting emails, and making the flows of the customer journey.
Our approach for the customer journey flow was making it step by step, starting from onboarding (Kickoff event) to the offboarding (end of Digital Coaching journey). For each event people activated, a flow needed to be made, which required a very focused approach. The ideal user journey we made in Miro and Figma was then created in Customer.io, together with the development team throughout several sprints. We defined all events, tested them, linked push notifications, and created new app releases, all from scratch in co-creation.

What are the results?
Together with the Hello Health development team, we created a working MVP in 12 weeks, with the first test conducted on all Hello Health employees and the second test on Colruyt Group employees. The next step is going to market, which the product is ready for.
